What if you are wishing for something not particularly appropriate for the wishing? Can you still get it?

Is it wrong to wish for something you KNOW is morally compromising and hope to get it no matter what? Is it possible to wish FOR anything....? (MADE UP EXAMPLE: like inheriting money from a relative you despise, who deserves being hated)***I wasn't sure where to put this...*** At times, I am sure you would get that wish, but that's why the saying "Be careful what you wish for - you might get it" is so popular.~
If wishing works at all I would think it depends on what source you think makes it happen.
For example if you think wishing is equal to prayer then God might not grant you a wrong or harmful wish. Of course there is always dealing with the devil that has a different definition of wrong.
If you believe that your desires or wishes produce the energy or direct the energy of the universe to your desired direction then I don't think right or wrong matters in that choice.
Although you might not be fully dedicated to the wish (and that might matter) if you believe that is wrong for you make.
Of course taking action in order to make something you wish for come true is probably a better course of action than just wishing.
One has to buy a lottery ticket first before one can win.

Wishing, thinking positively (The Secret) or praying are all equivalent in doing nothing, and influencing nothing.
Is it MORAL to wish for bad things for somebody? Probably not, but it is human.
